The Australian Federal Police (AFP) allege that the 33 year-old from Killara in New South Wales took advantage of his position as an IT contractor to modify government computer systems to mine cryptocurrency. The man’s illicit mining operation is said to have earned him more than AU$9,000 ($6,000), according to an AFP announcement. The unnamed man is facing two charges: unauthorized modification of data to cause impairment, and unauthorized modification of restricted data....

Clearview AI, the dubious startup that’s cozied up to the US law enforcement community with its facial recognition software, has managed to crap the metaphorical bed by allowing an intruder to exploit a security flaw and make off with its entire client list. The exact nature and source of the breach remains unknown at this time. The company says it’s patched the vulnerability and insists its servers were not accessed....

The cryptocurrency exchange launched its bundles packages last September in an attempt to simplify the cryptocurrency buying process for new investors. It let investors buy a weighted package of Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and Ethereum Classic. Alongside the bundles, Coinbase also launched new asset pages and Coinbase Learn, a repository of information about the digital assets listed on the exchange. Indeed, Coinbase at the time even said this was all an attempt to help new investors get some skin in the game....

The report comes courtesy of Android Police, which has a solid track record with these things. Samsung would reportedly replace the buttons with capacitive or pressure sensors, denoted by a bump or texture. Android Police doesn’t know that these changes will carry over to next year’s S11, but it seems likely. It’s a darn shame. I can already see Samsung’s potential reasoning, something or the other about increasing battery capacity, durability, and waterproofing....
